Why we at Voegloze Badkamer choose Polynature?
As specialists in seamless bathrooms, we are often asked:
“What exactly is the difference between Polynature and other coatings such as microtopping, mortex or beton ciré?”
A valid question. Because although these materials may look visually similar, the differences in quality, durability, and waterproofing are greater than you might think.
In this blog post
Polynature is inherently genuinely waterproof
While classic products such as mortex, microtopping or beton ciré require various seal layers and additional post-processing to be waterproof, and those layers are also susceptible to wear, Polynature has been designed from the ground up as a completely waterproof system.
The sub-layer consists of glass-fibre reinforced polyester, which guarantees both waterproofing and structural strength. On top of this, we apply the Polynature coating: a cement-free product that is elastic and flexible.
This makes Polynature ideal for applications on timber structures or in timber frame construction, where movement in the substrate must always be taken into account.
As there is no cement present in the system, you can also use a descaler without any problems when cleaning, without affecting the finish.
Whether it’s a walk-in shower, floor, wall, or the entire bathroom: Polynature forms one seamless, waterproof, and durable whole.
Durable, crack-free & future-proof
The technical composition of Polynature is unique. Through the combination of glass-fibre reinforcement and a hard-wearing top layer, the system offers you:
- A crack-free finish, even with temperature fluctuations or movement in the substrate
- High wear resistance during daily use
- Excellent resistance to moisture, dirt, and chemical cleaners
Classic cement-bound systems often show cracks or discolouration over time, especially in wet areas. This problem does not occur with Polynature. This makes the system particularly suitable for intensive use, both in private homes and in holiday homes or wellness areas.
Easy to maintain & hygienic
One of the biggest advantages of a Voegloze Badkamer is its ease of maintenance. No grout means: no mould, no discolouration and no cleaning frustration.
Polynature has a dense, smooth finish that dirt, soap residue or limescale struggle to adhere to. Unlike cement-bound coatings such as mortex or microtopping, Polynature is non-porous and therefore stain-resistant in the long term.
Furthermore, you don’t need an additional maintenance layer afterwards. This means less work, lower costs, and most importantly: more comfort.
Aesthetics without compromise
Polynature combines design and functionality in one well-thought-out system. The finish looks sleek and seamless and fits perfectly within any interior style: from modern, minimalist homes to warm, rustic bathrooms.
Thanks to a wide colour palette of natural shades, you can perfectly match Polynature to the atmosphere of your space. The coating visually flows beautifully from floor to wall, creating a calm and harmonious appearance.
Are you working with an interior architect? Then Polynature is a dream material: aesthetically strong and technically sound.

Frequently asked questions
What is Polynature?
Polynature is a seamless and waterproof finishing system for bathroom floors and walls. It combines a glass-fibre reinforced sub-layer (Polycoat) with a cement-free, flexible coating for a strong and durable finish.
What is the difference between Polynature and mortex, microtopping or beton ciré?
Polynature is built from the ground up as a waterproof system and does not require additional seal layers to become waterproof. Thanks to its glass-fibre reinforcement and flexible coating, it is also more resistant to movement, cracking, and intensive daily use.
Why is Polynature suitable for a shower or entire bathroom?
Polynature forms one seamless and waterproof whole on floors and walls. The finish is hard-wearing, stain-resistant, and moisture-resistant, making it suitable for both walk-in showers and entire bathrooms.
Is Polynature easy to maintain?
Yes. Because Polynature is seamless and non-porous, dirt, limescale, and soap residue are less likely to adhere. There are no grout lines that can discolour, and thanks to its cement-free composition, a descaler can also be used without affecting the finish.
